Software & Information Industry Association Names Reprints Desk a 2011 CODiE Awards Finalist

Santa Monica, Calif., May 19, 2011– Reprints Desk today announced that the company’s Article ePrint Hosting solution has been selected as a finalist for the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) prestigious CODiE Awards in the Best Digital Rights Management Solution category. The category recognizes the best solution for managing secure access to, electronic purchase of, distribution and subsequent use of software, content, and other properties accessible directly over the Web.  Article ePrint Hosting is an Adobe-based technology solution that facilitates the copyright-compliant delivery and downloading of scientific journal articles in PDF format.

“Reprints Desk’s Article ePrint Hosting solution protects publishers' intellectual property while also offering the flexibility to meet the varying requirements and interests of Reprints Desk's corporate customers in life sciences and other research-intensive industries,” said Jan Peterson, Reprints Desk’s Head of Publisher Relations. “Article ePrint Hosting has applications for secure document delivery in support of research, hosting of clinical eprints used in medical marketing, and as an outsourced technology solution for scholarly scientific publishers.”

Established by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiEs recognize excellence and achievement in the business software, digital content, and education technology industries, and are the industry’s only peer-reviewed awards program. Other 2011 category finalists in the Digital Rights Management (DRM) category include software leaders Adobe Systems, Inc., Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), and Wibu-Systems USA. SIIA will announce the winner on Wednesday, May 25 at SIIA’s All About the Cloud conference in San Francisco, California.
